OBJECTIVE
In the twin-island state of Antigua & Barbuda, most convenient food is imported from regional and international brands. Miss Ellie is here to break the mold, impressing and exciting Antiguan nationals and visitors with quality products! From tone of voice to logo design, packaging to social, see how we’ve been collaborating to build a local brand with a bright future ahead.

Strategy

Delicious Antiguan treats + innovation + convenience = Miss Ellie

Through market research and extensive product testing and development, we discovered a gap in the local market for authentic Antiguan convenience products. Seeing the potential for Miss Ellie to be the local authority in that space, we crafted a brand that is simple and classic in its approach, yet vibrant and adventurous in its endeavour for innovative foods.

Logo Design

Miss Ellie’s handwritten logo stimulates the familiarity of the homemade, while expressing the credibility and creativity behind the Miss Ellie brand. It’s just as relatable and welcoming. The orange of the logo is energetic, friendly, warm, and optimistic, not to mention hunger-inducing.

“Ilya Spencer's approach was unexpectedly thorough. The entire process was well streamlined and ensured that minimal time was wasted going back and forth over the designs. Her designs for our logo and packaging exceeded our expectations and initial designs were spot on. Feedback that our product packaging doesn't look like it was locally designed and developed demonstrates the high quality of her work.”
Eleanor Thomas, Founder

Visual Identity

“Think simple” was the measuring rod throughout the visual development process. From familiar homey photography to energetic feel-good social media posts, every visual piece is as uncomplicated as the Miss Ellie brand. In the same breath, their vibrancy and spirit permeate throughout every touchpoint with vivid color palettes and a fun tone of voice.
